The living legend of Latin Jazz Bobby Sanabria will be performing today, November 19 until 22 of this month in the prestigious stage I Dizzy's Club Coca Cola in New York City, with his Multiverse Big Band.
There will be two concerts a day during the four days of residence, in time 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm.
Great expectations because these concerts, because the CD Multiverse has two Grammy nominations, and many critics believe that the awards they were caught by the position taken by Bobby Sanabria together with other musicians and journalists, including us, to claim the exclusion of such Awards musical genre that moves and gives joy to the world: Latin Jazz.
This Album 'Multiverse' is a jewel in every respect: the musicians, grooves, recording, presentation of the CD itself as such.
Bobby Sanabria will be accompanied by a line of notable musicians "All Stars": David de Jesus (as, ss, f); John Beaty (as, f); Peter Brainin (ts, f); Jeff Lederer (ts, f, cl); Danny Rivera (bs, b cl); Kevin Bryan, John Walsh, Max Darche, Andre Neesley (t); David Miller, Tim Sessions, Joe Beaty, Chris Washburne (tb); Oreste Obrantes (congas, perc); Matthew Gonzalez (bongo, cencerro, perc); Hiram 'El Pavo' Remon (v, perc); Leo Traversa (b); Darwin Noguera (p); Sanabria (musical director, drums, perc)
Sanabria has a remarkable career in our musical genre not only as a musician but as a prominent band leader, producer, educator. Perhaps one of the most important experiences you have had is being drummer Mario Bauza Orchestra, and also of other luminaries, prior to break through with their bands and orchestras. He has done a wonderful job with Manhattan School of Music Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra which has earned him numerous accolades.
We are confident that during these days the Dizzy's Club will have such movement, that there will be room for a pin, but to enjoy and to take a stand on a little picture of the floor.
We want to share with you a few brief minutes of the recent presentation of Multiverse Bobby Sanabria in Brooklyn Bridge Park to mark the Summer Festival:
